INSTRUCTOR | CHOREOGRAPHER | ADJUDICATOR
Brittany Fitz is a multidisciplinary dance artist with over two decades of experience in ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, and acro. She began her training as a versatile competitive dancer before studying at The Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Professional Division, where her passion for contemporary dance was sparked by performing William Forsythe’s The Second Detail. Brittany continued her studies at The Conteur Academy contemporary program and further developed her artistry through the New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble’s Movement Invention Project, working with acclaimed artists including Sidra Bell, Peter Chu, Alexandra Wells, Shannon Gillen, and Jermaine Spivey. Brittany has performed at The American Dance Festival in California and North Carolina, mentored by renowned artists such as Gerri Houlihan, T-Lang, Pilobolus, and Gregory Maqoma. Her choreographic works have been presented across North America, earning recognition for their athleticism, emotional depth, and strong technical foundation. Currently an associate artistic director, choreographer, and teacher, Brittany is committed to nurturing a balance of technique, artistry, and personal growth while encouraging dancers to express their individuality through the art of dance.
